Sim A – was a top up contract then I stopped using a few months back. I realised now that the contract was not cancelled at the time, so was cancelled now. There is a credit of R800 airtime on this sim. Unfortunately I damanged beyond repiars, the sim/phone so can no longer access the sim or make use of such.

Sim B – a new flexi 100 contract was taken out with a data bundle.

I need the R800 airtime from Sim A to be transferred to Sim B, the consultants I speak to are adamant there is no other way besides me actually switching on Sim A and transferring the R800 through the self-help function *100#. What they fail to understand is that is not possible – what I am asking for is for Vodacom to do the transfer from their side – which I am sure is not impossible.

I have paid for the R800 airtime and feel why should I lose out, this amount will be reducing each month so the longer it takes I end up losing out. Even if the R800 can be transferred as data I don’t mind.

Any advice from the myBB community / Or someone from Vodacom here perhaps who can assist please?

So are you saying the sim it self is damaged or the cellphone? as far as i know you need to use the USSD function to transfer the airtime to another number. At worse case, get a sim swop on the number done for a new sim it if it busted

Top Up Customers

1. Top Up customers must be provisioned for this service by their SP, which provisioning may be denied.

2. All active Vodacom Top Up customers will be able to receive airtime from other valid Vodacom customer.

3. Top Up customers may not transfer any of the credit they receive on the 1st of every month.

4. Top Up customers are able to transfer 80% of all recharges made above the airtime credit received on the 1st of every month. The minimum amount allowed that may be transferred at one time still is R2 and the maximum R2000 per month.

5. If the transferring Top Up customer is locked for any reason, transfer will not be possible.

Thanks Ocke

So based on no. 5 I take it I am locked so thus Vodacom has stolen R800 from me
