When I bought my first car, I used Wesbank vehicle financing.

I finishing paying and they sent me the paperwork to transfer into my name. 12 years later, I still have the car, and the paperwork, and forgot to do the transfer. Even though the car has been sitting for a while, someone wants to buy the car now, and I am wondering if I am in some form of crap for not doing the transfer a hell of a lot sooner?

I don't think so...just take the papers in to your nearest friendly licensing department and act dum...:p

No need to act dum :D

It's still a straight-forward registration. Just be glad you kept all the paperwork!

As long as you have the papers, AFAIK the person with the papers can register it onto their name without consent of previous owner.

Good grief! :o

Look how I spelled dumb!! :o

Please ignore poor spelling and do not hold it against me! :o
