Hey peeps,
I've recently registered for a WebAfrica Complete package. Before doing so, and canceling my MWEB account, I checked with Telkom concerning our bundle contract.
They told me that, because we were on the contract with them for over a certain period of time, we'd be able to transfer over to WebAfrica without concerns of a penalty fee.
Today, two weeks after the transfer and no line upgrade I phoned WebAfrica and asked them what's up. They then told me that, under no circumstances, can a line be handed over to an ISP if the full term of the contract hasn't been served. This is a big bugger up, as I've canceled my MWEB account and I've paid WebAfrica for this month's data.
Has anyone dealt with a situation like this before? Can a line actually be handed over while still on a contract?
