CGI is off the chart!
ILM are gods

but what about the story? mmm
will have to wait and see
 
The trailer sure looks great. The CGI guys have more or less nailed the art down of creating photorealistic 3-D models.

Now they must try and nail down the physics as well. As soon as a 3-D model starts moving, its motion gives away that it is CG. The robots are done quite well, but I suspect they are 'cheating' a bit by making them move so fast. You never get a clear sense of just how exactly their locomotion works.

The explosion on the aircraft carrier is a point in case. The way the planes are scattered round the deck and falls into the sea is very artificial, and your brain immediately tells you that that is not what it would look like in real life.

Other than that, it definitely looks like a significant improvement on the first one.

I know what you mean.
Like when they explode a planet in a movie. It's so fast. Something so big would look very slow, I'm sure.
 
if its big or small itll explode at the same rate, you watched too many movies with slowdown for grandeffect bru... lol
