Transformers

Hi all, I want to buy someone the first transformers movie, but as I dont know that movies, I dont know what the first one was named. The person has from the second on (onwards?), but not the first one. I googled it, but keep getting transformers series, dont understand, as I thought it was movies.

Any help?

Thing is, we didn't have a TV, and I only got my first pc in 2003 I think, and never had a tv, so yes, maybe there is a gap?
