Who owns the hardware, Transnet or Gijima?

I would be more worried about the banks and stuff, and if IBM folded tomorrow, I'd expect most of those mainframes and the entire chain of those producing any replacement components to just keep going. This is enterprise.Sure... what would happen if IBM folded tomorrow?
What exactly are you talking about? I'm saying that those currently producing parts / the entire supply chain, would keep producing until a new owner for IBM is found, and I will bet you that governments will step in to make sure it keeps going. Too many important systems run on it for them not to step in. It's also why I am extremely doubtful of IBM ever truly going bust as long as there's not a true replacement. What, IP is just going to be handed over to anyone who wants it? Pull the other one….
You’re now suggesting governments would sponsor a private entity if they went the way of Enron? Hardware is a small part of the picture.

It doesn’t surprise me, there are many many big enterprises who are lethargic and wouldn’t be able to adjust to major shifts in markets out there without spending wads of cash.
Imagine Transnet implementing SAPIt absolutely is not risky at all.
It's the opposite. It's the safe, expensive, enterprise class choice.
