Transplanting code from one program to another

Exactly. Plus from the sound of this it's required that both programs need to work already. So it's of minimal use to replace code and can't be used to insert code into another program.

I don't think that is their claim to fame. It's about how the ai analyzes code from both and integrates it by renaming variables etc without any manual input/changes from you.

Would you trust it though? It doing things automatically, will make us more lax

That could only work if everyone codes the same way. We don't.

I'm no programmer (limited to assembler experience) so can't really comment but I would prefer to swapin my own subroutines or code chunks.

My understanding from the article is that it does not care about the style but steps through the code analyzing it and comparing outcomes or something to that effect.
