Transporting car from JHB to CT by train - Question

Anyone ever transported his car by train between the major cities?

I cannot find much info on the spoornet website, except that when you book premier class you can also put your car on the train.

Anyone know the costs involved sending your car by train, if you dont personally travel by train? Are there any pitfalls or is it relatively safe?

yes, why don't you drive down? Or you can ask your dealer who they use to transport their cars.you can phone them to tell them to pick up your car

You can send your car with Spoories Premier whether you travel with it or not. It is under 2K if I recall. They tell you what time to bring it to the depot for loading (usually 3-4 hours before departure)
Other options are having it trucked. Don't know the costs there but definitely not the cheapest option.
