Recently i purchased a vehicle where i was under the impression that the vehicle had been in an accident and the dealer withheld the information, saying that the report that they pulled shows no major accident damage.

I wasnt convinced, i ended up on the Transunion website only to find they had an android application on the play store called "Transunion Car Value". I download the app and registered and got a free valuation credit for my vehicle. I also noticed that you can purchase verification credit which allows you to do the same detailed background check of the vehicle that any dealership would do. It even allows you to save the report in PDF.

The verification costs R140, but to give me peace of mind it was worth it.

So... was it in an accident or not?!!!!

No it wasnt in a major accident. But remember a major accident would only be listed if an insurance claim was processed. So the vehicle still may have been in a bumper bashing but no claim was put through.
