Oi! Leave me out of this...
Evening y'all...
I have a feeling I'm about to start fighting with my insurance company over the value of my vehicle.
Does anyone have access to the latest Trans Union Auto Dealers guide, that could possibly help me out for a minute or two with the retail value...
For the background and to make a short story long and vice versa... I was in a little mishap about 2 weeks ago and T-boned a dude and caused some significant damage to my vehicle to the point that it is "uneconomical to repair", but now that I'm dealing with insurance, the retail value on my vehicle is magically 10% lower than it was on my latest policy schedule from 2 months ago.
Actually this brings up an interesting question for me. I had the accident in June and the premium they deducted from my account was the same as it was the last few months with the previous vehicle value. Surely the date of loss is the important date, not some random date in the future when their assessor or claims administrator decides that the vehicle is uneconomical to repair?
