AFAIK thats his own vehicle he is hiding behind. Sometimes that one, sometimes a different one.

Jees these guys will do anything to try and get money outa us.....!!! Damn b@steds :)

Write on the Venture's back window "Slow down, speed trapping 5m ahead!" with a huge arrow!

+1 on the illegal parking.

All you gotta do to not give them money is drive within the law. Its really not hard.

He is trapping there because its decieving. Its a dual carriageway with no signs until further down the road. You would assume the speed limit is 80, but its actually 60.

Yea lol thats a good idea..

I didnt notice the parking on the yellow line. Its actually a parking space, but he has moved his car forward to make space to hide.

Unless you are within the lines of the parking area you are parked illegally and can be towed away.

Is the speed limit 60 for the whole carriageway ? or is he trapping close to a sign that changes the speed ?

No speed trap may be set up within 300m of the commencement of a speed limit zone either way. This does not mean that it may not be set up within 300m of a speed limit sign that is the same as that applicable in the area in which the exercise is being conducted.

No, its the same for the whole thing.

I have to take it back tho, as I was standing outside after I wrote that I looked straight into a 50kmh sign :o

Its been there the whole time, I'm just so used to it I didn't see it anymore.

Ouch.. so your ticket for 10km over the limit is on its way

Well the law says 60 unless specified otherwise, so no, I would not assume that.

The rule as per the guide line document is "When selecting a site for a speed measurement exercise, the operator must have a clear and uninterrupted view of the road and the vehicle measured for the duration of the measurement."
