Hey folks,
Which travel agents will take care of the visas for you ?
I plan to do a lot of travelling soon, and want to eliminate as many visits to the consulates as possible, mainly because of time constraints.

It's for leisure purposes.

thanks

hiya very few agents do it themselves they normally outsource to a visa company, we use these guys - visas international but certain countries still require you to apply in person

Visas for where?

Almost any country worth visiting requires you to go in person to an application centre or consulate, including most of the Schengen countries and the UK, so don't bother wasting your money with a visa agency.

we went to europe in 2010, and needed the schengen visa, but apparently the rules changed, travel agent can no longer do it for u, u need to go to the consulate in person.
moerse schlep having to go to the french consulate, long rows, some of the counter attendants being truely... umh french! one guy quite rude, and u need the EXACT money for the visa, which of course u only know when getting there, as its billed in euro, u pay in rands, so daily price based on the exchange rate... so take along lots of cents :-)
not sure if its the same with the other country's consulates.
we have guys in the company going to france and other euro countries regularly, so i understand process is still the same
would've been soooo much better if travel agent could still do on your behalf

For Schengen, you can go to any EU country's consulate. The Portugese are by far the most friendly and do it on the spot. The visa does not state what country issued it and is valid anywhere in the EU. A real pleasure dealing with the Portugese

The UK visa is a nightmare now, you have to get the forms with 12 pages of silly questions and VRS UK Border Agency do it for you. For Mexico you must visit the Consulate in Pretoria in person, but you cannot make an appointment. Daughter went last Friday, a big mistake, she got in there at 11.30 after flying in from Cape Town. Huge queues and surly staff. They closed up early at 2.00 and security threw everybody out. On the door it says they are open to 4.30 but this made no difference. So she will go again on Tuesday. It wastes an entire day and they are not interested

it needs to be issued from either the country of entry or the country you're spending the most time in.

Check out visa express or Rose visas. Both are used by travel agencies.

dunno, What I do know is that the times I have sat at an Embassy and watched these visa guys do there thing about 40% of the visas were rejected simply due to lack of documentation.

So if you do get them to do it for you be 110% sure they have everything they need from you.
