Tremulous is quite a brilliant game,free,and its standalone now,as it used to be a mod.

Its basicly a Team Vs Team FPS, with abit of RTS to it. You have the two teams, which make it Humans Vs Aliens. Both sides are pretty balance, Humans using technology and get new weapons, while aliens use speed and evolution to fight.

Side Note: Also.. I have a rather high ping.. usually about 700 or so. Which I seem to survive by, but I'm just wondering, I'm on a router modem, and is there any way to lower my ping?
 
Aye, that looks pretty cool! ...but I've looked around at the available reading on the site and can't find any mention of hardware specs (it matters 'cos my only machine is a Centrino-based laptop ..but I DID get to play FarCry on it!) - any word on what the hardware specs are?
 
I'm not sure what they are exactly, But I have a 256 Ram, 1.4 GHZ for a processor, and 128mb for Graphics Card, And it runs nicely on low settings. And fun/slightly laggy on high settings.

My Dad's laptop is around 2Ghz, 256 Ram, and 32mb Graphics Card, and it runs perfectly on high settings there.
 
Your playing on international servers so your ping wont get much lower than that.
 
I just downloaded this. Anyone know of any local servers? Most international ones don't allow you in because of lag...
 
I Really like tremulous, it can run on a low spec pc and its free, its about 100mb so its no that hard to get it, i would love a local server!

Maybe someone could contact SGS?
its better than Natural Selection and free
 
I think it is based on the Q3 engine which has been modified. Should work on slow PCs.
