Finally a remote trigger solution for iOS that doesn't involve a computer between the iOS device and the camera!
UK Company Triggertrap have been making camera triggers for some time now, and recently released an iOS app that offers remote control of many DSLRs, in addition to control the iOS camera itself. Unlike other remote apps available though, the Triggertrap Mobile can be triggered by things like sound, vibration, and facial recognition. Other notable features include eased timelapses that create a ramped-up speed effect over time, distance-lapses, and doing HDR captures.

Interesting, it mentiones the G10 and newer. I'm pretty sure the G9 has the same connector - will have to check. The bigger question for me, is if it will be able to get the timelapse interval down to the 1-2 second range?

Hmmm need to install and compare it to DSL Controller for Android, well in the setups I would use it that is.

Just need to get the hardware for it 1st.

Edit: Hmmm looking a bit deeper, its not really the same thing, but has overlapping features, still would not mind getting it.

By the time I add it all up (hardware, software, tripod and head) it's going to be an expensive bit of kit . . . maybe I'll stick with my forefinger! :D

Well, I've decided to sell my Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 so a tripod and the Triggertrap might not be too far away in my future.

I bought a Triggertrap for IOS last week waiting to receive it;looks like fun.

Thought you would have a tripod and and head already?

I've rented and borrowed but owning hasn't been a priority. I still have a couple cheap ones from the early days but they're on light stand duty.
