I have signed up. The minute I got my login details the Telkom line went down GRRRRR! I will test when back online.

OK so here we have an ISP who offers TorrentFlux, that's a first :D I hope that IS - who I believe he's reselling to is happy with this... I find it a tad unprofessional for an ISP to do this, just my 2 cents I guess, just doesn't seem right as ISPs shape for a reason.
... And now he's banned for spamming?

First of all, I was banned for posting a thread with a new promotion.

Secondly, you are wrong. It is not a first for an ISP to offer Torrentflux - you have been offering it as well. An ISP can be classified as anyone providing any internet services. This includes hosting services.

We are in no way being unprofessional for offering Torrentflux and our account manager at IS are well aware of our offerings. Torrent downloading in general put tremendous strain on any network. Hence the reason IS shapes this. But since clients are not downloading the torrents directly from torrent networks, there is no strain on the network. Our server in the US takes the strain.

I would suggest that you make sure of your facts before posting threads as you clearly have no knowledge about wholesale bandwidth from backbone providers. TRL Technologies are a registered company and one of only a handful of companies who obtained Accredited Partner status at IS.

Will only TorrentFlux or their users as well get "abuse/infrangment letters"?

We have already resolved this problem with the data centre. Infringment letters, if any, are send to us directly. Since the launch of the service we have only received 2 infringment letters, each was resolved. Users of the service will not receive any infringment letters as long as they use torrentflux for their torrent downloads.

Hmmm, wanted to logon to torrentflux tonight. But then I see the site is offline, so I tried sending a pm to reubenl but suddenly he's not accepting pm's anymore. :erm:

Did it have something to do with the torrentflux? I don't mean to pry, just a yes or no answer.

Well, I guess I'll have to count my lossess...

Hey AeroVPS, how well do your seedbox's run on mweb uncapped?

And when it says "100GB bandwidth", does that include the bandwidth needed to download from your server to me?

Update for current and potential Torrentlfux subscribers:

This past few days we have actively worked on a solution which would make it harder for service providers to shape data to and from our Torrentflux service. We cannot provide more information on the measures we have put in place but I can give my assurance that our Torrentflux service would never be withdrawn again for being shaped.

With the new service subscribers would be able to download .nzb files.

The new improved service would be available within the next few days. We are busy with final testing and would then move the service to one of our production servers.

Please be patient for a little while longer - subscribers won't be disappointed :)

Reuben!!! Wow, you were missed. When I was using Torrenflux, it was awesome. At the cost, it is the best service you could get. I don't see myself leaving them anytime in the near or distant future.

You guys are quite new adn as such, some teething problems are expected. I'm always open to trying new and South African services (Screamer was my biggest disappointment) and will stick with you guys unless the service becomes impossible to use.

Just as a note, us subscribers do get email updates of whatever issues are happening and what's being done to fix them. This may be why nobody has canceled their service yet. Keep up the good work all you guys at TRLTech! :)
