Trouble Loading Imgur with TI?

Does anybody else have trouble loading pictures from Imgur with Telkom Internet? Funny enough it works fine with Afrihost (which is SAIX)

Edit: Steam seems to be even worse.

AFAIK, no Afrihost accounts are on SAIX.

All of our accounts are currently on SAIX, but unshaped accounts will not necessarily be affected by some classes of problems that affect SHAPED and uncapped. So, to my knowledge, all ISPs that use SAIX products (except unshaped) are affected by this.

The portion that we can't easily troubleshoot and escalate ourselves relates to regional transparent proxies, so if you are affected by a problem like this, we need sufficient detail to escalate the problem to SAIX. What they require from us is:
1)traceroute to the affected site
2)ping to the affected site
3)Results from visiting http://lagado.com/proxy-test (to easily identify the transparent proxy you are hitting, which can assist in localising the problem). The most critical one is the IP address reported as the originator of the request (I can't provide a sample now, I will try once I am home).

You should test using http://dsl-cache.saix.net:80 as your proxy, but please still report the problem if using this proxy setting resolves the problem, or indicate that it doesn't (as appropriate).

Send the details to support at telkomsa dot net.

While using alternative DNS settings may resolve some issues, they just work around local caching and CDNs (which are sometimes the origin of the problem, as both of them use DNS tricks to work), and don't fix the cause, and may degrade your experience on other sites that were working.

If you don't have adequate service on a ticket you submitted by email to support, PM me the ticket number so I can ensure it hasn't been swept under the carpet.

I guess MWEB will start to run into some of these issues, now that they also have CDNs :-p.

Thank you Ranger, I will do these tests and email them if I encounter the problem again.
