Anyone else having trouble logging in lately?...
It says authenticating>download>success! but then it freezes there...then if I say cancel it tries to retrieve realm list but freezes there too...
Ive got a brand new EU account and I created a shammy on Lightbringer yesterday and got him to lvl 8. IS it a common problem?...or is my account doing something wrong?

Try deleting your cache and WTF folders in your wow directory. The game will create new ones when you login, but any visual settings or addon settings will be lost.

On a side note, you might want to flush your DNS cache as well. To do that, go to Start and select Run. In the Run command box, type CMD and press enter. Once in the command shell, type ipconfig/flushdns. you can then close down the command shell

I only get that problem when my connection is giving trouble. Are you experiencing any abnormal latency on your connection?

@noswal
AFAIK, macro's are saved on the server as well. I have deleted my WTF and Cache folders before without losing my macro's. This happened just as WotLK was released and Blizzard had some trouble with caching on slower connections, which caused disconnections in busy areas or raids.

Was about to suggest that, I've had the same problem from time to time and usually a router reboot fixed it.
