Since a software upgrade my current Mac on 10.13.6 will not open my Standard website ? Does not show the https when opening, gets to the blue page to login then instantly goes to a blank page saying in the middle, " a problem repeatedly occurred with https://onlinebanking.standardbank.co.za/#/login ?
My older Mac on 10.6.8 opens the site perfectly showing the https when loading ?
What have I done wrong ? Both use Safari which I cant change due to some programmes loaded.
Thanks

Huh? Of course you can change the browser. Applications won’t be affected.

But your best bet would be that reset all caches and cookies and then try again.

Use whatever browser you want, just don't change the default and you won't have any issues with your other apps.

I keep reloading and can see the bank login screen for less than 1 second before it disappears

Have had a number of issues with Safari and Std Bank over the years, Especially for a while after Mac updates.
Use FFox for banking .....seems Std Bank prefers it.
Leave Safari as default browser, open FFox for banking, BUT update / check for updates each time Before you use it to bank with.

What is this screen ? When I found it, it was set on iPhone 8. I changed it to Mac 10.13.620200409_154350.jpeg

Are you Mac/iPhone sharing?
Just use your Mac.

Safari Menu options along the very top of the page : File Edit View ...Bookmarks Develop...
you may have opened Develop and in User Agent selected something other than Default....check and reset to default if not.

Thanks for both your answers, sadly I am all thumbs with how and why...but, I don't have an Iphone at all. Have bank on my phone - S7 , which works.
Please steer me thru other settings if you can. Can see " developer" open.

How to do that ?

Look at the very top of your screen: when in Safari: Apple Logo, Safari,File, Edit, View ...Bookmarks, Develop...
open Develop and second down, User Agent, select Default.

You need to enable the developer's menu before it can be accessed and if he doesn't have it then it's unlikely that he changed his user agent, right?

OP - just just Chrome or Firefox. If it asks you if you want it to be your default browser just say no.

@ bwana, I think you are correct, I may have done this so long ago that I assume it is default.

On the other hand he did post a screen photo showing the menu so he's enabled it.

OP - it's greyed out because you don't have an active window. Load the page and then check the user agent is set to Default.

Or just use Chrome or Firefox.

Thanks guys !! Solved by going to Firefox just for Below Standard , then back to Safari for everything else...
Appreciate your help .

Last question till Tuesday , why am I only seeing websites in the middle of the screen ?20200410_125022.jpeg
