Trouble with my Telkom Line

Had a few problems the last 3 months.

Every time its raining or the wind is blowing ever so slightly, my connection drop.

1. I changed routers
2. Changed ISP's
3. Used different pc's
4. Changed cables
5. Reset my port

Telkom has been to my house 3 times already, but never when the problem occurs.

This is horrible for online gaming , as the connection drops every couple of minutes.

So i gave up on even calling Telkom anymore.

now a new problem, when i start to download anything it will start at 50kps dropping down to 0 and then just stop.

Check your Incoming connection where it enters your house. Rust etc.

I had that with a client. Two techs came and found nothing (mainly 'cos they weren't reallly looking), even though I explained that the connection drops at the same time as you can see the wire from the pole to the house swinging in the wind. Third tech came. Told him the problem. He fetched his ladder, went up the pole, touched the wire, and it fell to the ground. He fitted a new wire +/- 25m. Connection fixed - good as gold - solid as a rock.

Some techs just couldn't be bothered, but there are plenty who are good (and who make up for the slackers).

Yeah thats what i thought as well, but there were three different tech's here already and every time i explain to them that if the wind is blowing the connection drops and every time they test the line and telling me its clean with no noise FFS!!. Not even going outside to check the wire.
