Hi all

Hope someone can point me in the right direction as to what the issue is with my decoder. I suspect it's either the dish being crap, or it not pointing in the right direction.

HD PVR with full premium package.

I have a signal strength across all channels stable at 98%. On the tuner 1 signal, the vertical, I have wildly differing signal quality readings that range from 60% to 90% which disables the channel completely. Tuner 2, the horizontal is generally steady at 90% as well, but unless I have a 90/90 pair, the channel doesn't work at all.

I have this issue with about 15 of the channels and to my dismay, it's generally always 200 and 203 that I watch.

Anyone had this problem before and can assist as I need info before going to the BC to get them to sort their **** out.

TIA

Couple of wrong assumptions there. Tuner 1 is for viewing and can be either V or H. Tuner 2 is for recording and can be either V or H. The signal quality shown is for the carrier you are currently viewing (tuner 1) and for the channel you are currently recording (tuner 2). Have your dish checked by a professional and if you are still running a 60cm, the time for an upgrade is now...

I'm a master at wrong assumptions, shot for the clarity. Still not sure why some channels are at 60% quality and others 90%, but this is a start.

I'm not sure what the dish size is as it's a complex dish and they won't let me put up an individual one for personal use.

You should have stated more clearly, that you are in a complex :D

The signal consist of multiple carriers. Some are obviously coming through better than others. The BC must sort it out. Which complex? You can send me a PM... I might be able to help.
