Edit: Resolved

--------------------

Getting some pretty hectic tearing even with g-sync enabled and FPS being fine

Witcher 3 + 1060

nvidia panel recons it's enabled & I'm running Witcher with vsync disabled which is what I gather is required for gsync

Any ideas?

Is witcher 3 on the Geforce Experience - and the settings there for Gsync ? Or in the Nvidia control panel? I'm not sure if you have to enable it on another app too

It's enabled in the control panel & no such setting listed under the game in g experience.

Googling suggests the game just doesn't like gsync. Pity

That's odd.
I played it flawlessly on a G-Sync monitor.

gsync worked beautifully for me in Witcher 3, have you enabled the setting to SHOW g-sync is enabled? Then you can confirm its running.

Go into Nvidia Control Panel, click the "Set Up G-Sync" then click on the "Display" Tab at the top, drop down menu will then give you the G-Sync indicator option that shows up as an OSD while running a game.

I would guess your fps is dropping too low thus causing the tearing. Sure its fine with a 1060?

Ah - didn't realise there is an indicator. Useful.

Seems to have been an issue with g force experience not picking up the game as running. Not 100% sure but it's the outcome that counts :D

Thanks guys
