Wow. This other kid on the puzo forum got this on his FTP client:

125 Data connection already open; Transfer starting.
15000000 bytes received successfully. (443.89 KB/s) (00:00:33).
226 Transfer complete.

Now that's fast! No cap BTW.

bet you he finished the download before he even maxed out his connection, looks like a 6 meg line (but could be 10, seeing as the file stopped before we could really see)

also bet you that he had no packet loss

Yes, but which alternate universe...? :D

Reality check: SA exists in a totally different/backward universe to the rest of the connected planet...

No doubt IC. We can only dream about those speeds. Besides, wouldn't it be pointless to have a 10Mbps connection with a 3GB cap?

Networking isn't always about your upstream to the rest of the world. In most cases, it's about your upstream to your friends.

Was he downloading non-precompressed data?

I used to get 15-16kbps downloading access database files on a 56kb phone line

TheRoDent was talking about Jawug, not iBurst...;)

when I use flashfxp or shell to courier from US to US you can max a 100mbit, 12.5MB/s, now that broadband

how do you think i got that thing you wanted the other day so fast, btw if you ever need anythign else, just PM

I always wondered how I ask u for stuff & you're like 'give me a sec.' then poof, there's the link. Now if we had a decent cap (30GB-100GB) I'd get a shell account from u.

hehe, soon man soon, remember that **** to black, do you still want it?
