"Telkom have announced that they are testing speeds of up to 12Mbs. They are releasing speeds of 8mbs in April/May 2010 (4mbs subscribers will be upgraded free of charge), upload speeds will be 800Kbs and download 8mbs and the 12mbs will be rolling out after the soccer world cup. 384k will also be upgrading to 512k and 512k to 1mb. The same fees apply. This is to ensure that South Africa will get next generation high speed internet."

question is it true or not:confused:

False.

The 8/10Mbps upgrade has been confirmed in a number of interviews with Telkom. Has the 384/512 been confirmed? I don't remember seeing that - I reckon everyone just assumes that.
