Hello everyone,

Id like to get an opinion on uncapped options being offered by several ISPs. Those that offer you a cisco router rental and you pay R1300-1900 per month for a full uncapped account with a fixed IP

Namely those from IS and Datapro, aswell as some other isps that ive heard of like Fujitsu Siemens ISp? And any others that you might know of.

What are the speeds and quality of service like, specially during the day? Also if there are any other isp's with good international bandwitdh offering this let me know.

Thanks

Long Term Contracts

I was also looking into getting one of those accounts but it seems everyone of them want you to sign a 12 Month Contract, and ADSL being what it is at the moment that is way too long for me.

Also with all of them as far as i know reselling IS Sat Bandwidth, which has relatively high latency.

I tried Data Pro and despite their technician's best efforts for 1 month I never managed to get a decent connection, that was when I could connect which was not often, apparently this happens, they could not say why but they were very correct, freed me of my contract.

We have the Data Pro solution at the office 1 Meg uncapped and it is worse that the 512 3gig cap from telkom. Their service is simmilar to Tellscum, but it seems weird that since we swiched a 5 minute tast (downloading a small excell file from the states) has become nearly impossible.

I am urging the company to change to something else. Any ideas?
