Trump issues executive order to ease rocket launch regulations

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Wednesday to ease regulations for the commercial space industry, including steps to speed the licensing process for rocket launches in a win for the growing sector and onetime ally Elon Musk’s SpaceX.

The executive order directs the Secretary of Transportation to review regulatory requirements to “eliminate outdated, redundant, or overly restrictive rules for launch and reentry vehicles,” according to a fact sheet from the White House.

Hasn't the Chinese government banned the use of Intel and Nvidia chips in any government, military or public service systems?

This is not just for Elon. Stupid laws in the US have held back a lot of invention and research. Only recently have they allowed supersonic aircraft testing and research to continue after trump removed some stupid woke law that made it sound like a Concorde or similar aircraft would destroy the climate in its first flight…

Also neutering the EPA, so that companies do not have to do things like dispose of waste properly, and now instead can do what they used to, making Love Canal, and the 3M superfund sites, 1304 as of current old EPA stats, much more likely to appear all over again. not as bad as the old soviet sites, those are likely to be lethal to enter for the next ten thousand years, and are all mostly open so all the dust blows off.

That law had nothing to do with wokeness, it was a ban on supersonice testing over land. Mainly because most people don't like to have their windows rattled by sonic booms. Unless you consider that to be woke but then it was far ahead of it's time being implement in 1973.
