Try out a Wii at Cavendish today.

One of the sports games is Baseball. The controller seemed a bit too slow for a fast action game like this. You actually have to slow down your swing considerably to be in time with the graphics.

No it's not too slow. You're just swinging too early.

It's all about the timing, and therein lays the challenge. Same applies to Tennis. The point at which you hit the ball dictates its direction.

Hmmmm, that doesn't make sense. If you are holding the controller and you swing too early, then surely your screen character should also swing at the same time and it should show him missing the ball.

What happens is that you swing and a second or so later, the figure onscreen swings. That's the issue.

I don't get that with batting - it's synchronised perfectly - but I do get it when pitching. The screen character only pitches after I've finished swinging the controller.

Glad you're practising your swinging :p

I tried tennis today and enjoyed it. I think the little force feedback vibration thingy in the controller is essential.

I also noticed the buttons are not microswitches .... odd that ..
