Trying to access MMS from a Linux computer

As it happens my device was not setup for MMS. So I need to retrieve the message from www.mtn.co.za/mms. So I go there and enter my cell number (an 082 ported from voda) and i enter the message ID from the SMS.

It then sends me to this page - http://mmbox.mtn.co.za/mmbox/otp.html

What do I need to enter there. I have tried my cell number and the message id from the sms. That hasn't worked for me. Am I missing something?

PM me your number and the type of handset you are using and Ill assist to provision and setup your mms. so in future it delivers directly to your handset.

Dr_Data - The SMS settings seem to no work. Can you tell me wha I meant to put into the site that pops up?

As it turns out, I have the same issue on Windows machines.

Hi

The MMS should deliver directly to the handset. The MMS only delivers to the Web based MMS service if the handset is not setup correctly. I am trying to get the manual setup for that handset. Alternately I will get someone to call and assist you to set this up correctly.
