I have recently arrived in SA from the UK and am trying to connect to a secure server in the US. The server will not allow me to login.
After a bit of playing around with other adsl lines/diginet, other ISPs, etc. it seems like the problem is specific to the adsl line I am using and because it is being routed through a proxy server.
Can anyone tell me why some adsl lines go through the proxies and some don't?
And how to get this changed for my home line?
The ISP accounts I have tried have been unshaped through Verizon and SAIX.
