Hi all,
I hope someone can help me with this one.
A client of ours have a 4MB ADSL line, as per the Netgear DG824GT router:
DownStream Connection Speed 4096 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 512 kbps
The router is setup in bridged mode, which is then connected to an OpenSuse 10.2 Linux router which initiates the ADSL connection. From there it shares the connection with 3 other PC's. Internet browsing, etc, VPN, etc is all very slow, as can be seen here: http://www.speedtest.net/result/900202789.png
The line used to be a 384, with horrendous slow speeds and we then got telkom to upgrade the line. They also reset the ports, but it's still very slow. Much slower than my 512K at home.
Does anyone know what I can do to improve the speed?
How, if at all, do I set the MTU on a Linux box which establishes a PPPoE connection?
I hope someone can help me with this one.
