Trying to register for EA Origin

I just installed Origin twice now, and each time I try to log in it tells me

"You must be online when logging in for the first time."

I tried to find an answer on the EA forums, but I can't find anything. Any help would be great.

Make an EA account on the EA website. Then login to that through origin. If you've played bf2142 or BC2, then you already have an origin account. Origin account = EA account.
