Ok I'm not the most advanced when it comes to ADSL related matters and broadband and what not. These days I've been hearing a lot of talk and i want to know what all the things mean.
like 4G how fast is it? Is 4G HSPA+ so 21mb/s speed/
How fast is 3G? is 3G HSPA?
Or am I totally wrong, If I am please explain :)

Would really appreciate the answers, thanks

With ADSL you get 384k, 512k and 4096k (4mbit) from telkom. R152 R190? and R413 line rental p/m.
With GSM you get GPRS 28k, 3G 384k, 3.5G (HSDPA) 3.6Mbit-21Mbit (or more?).
Most people can live with 384k for web browsing. If you're going to be an intense user, you'll appreciate more speed.
On GSM you don't pay for connection speed. Only the amount of data used.
If you need reliable speeds get ADSL. Wireless stuff is always subject to luck of how much interference there is and signal strength.
On ADSL bandwidth is much cheaper, you can get uncapped for a few hundred/month depending on speed. If you only need a tiny amount, GSM is cheaper (no line rental).
On GSM for reasonable amounts of data u need to buy data bundles. From vodacom they expire pretty quickly. So its expensive stuff. CellC is probably the best there. I haven't looked in much detail.
If you plan to use internet from a mobile phone only, blackberry is quite cool. You get unlimited internet for R60 or R140 or something.
