Tshwane water green

I had to drain my pool due to it being green and hosed down the pool. Then over night refilled my pool with city water (13,666L pool).
Next morning my pool was filled with rather green water.

Next night taking a bath I noticed my bath water also has a green shine to it.

Anybody else?

Where in PTA are you. Centurion mostly gets from Rand Water and the rest of Pretoria from various waterworks in the greater Tshwane area.

Why would you need to drain the pool ?

Couldn't you just treat the water ? unless you telling me the walls were seriously contaminated , but then that would mean you doing manual cleaning of the walls .
