Tsogo Sun Timeshare

Hi Guys,

I've been looking at the Tsogo Sun timeshare and it seems good but I guess all Sales pitches sound good. I just wanted to know what experience you guys have had...

From my understanding you buy a week at a resort for a specific week in the year. You pay an upfront charge and then annual levies. Also you can cash in the week for points which you can use for another week or another resort...
So the question is, have you had a positive experience and is changing weeks as easy as booking a hotel?

Careful... If it's the point system principal I wouldn't touch them with a pinch of salt. Firstly how much do they want to sell you a week for? Peak season or off peak. Duration? Example 10 years then you forfeit your holiday dream vacation. Check how much the points are valued at if you want to bank them with the RCI and pay the exchange rate for a vacation oversea... any bonus weeks example a leap year....

How much are the levies.. Check with RCI how many points you would get if you were to bank the week. That way for 1 week you could get three weeks at another resort.

I would buy timeshare Umlanga Breakers ..

Points is the deciding factor if you are going to purchase a week. Check timeshare for sale in Junkmail.

Is there somewhere specific you were thinking of as a holiday destination?

The other option to consider is a fractional ownership in a resort at a specific destination? Plenty of places that do this like this one which is just an example. I am not sure of the cons of something like this, but have often wondered about getting fractional ownership in a resort like Zimbali.

The points seem fair from what I see. The question is whether the other hotel would be available
