.....and the media will jump to the conclusion that it's because he is black.

Actually, possibly it is. With all the fuss made about black players in the squad the selectors may now view them as a disruptive influence in the team...

Screw colour. If you're good enough then play. I am not a selector, I do not know if he is good enough. I do know he is not better than AB.

Kudos for Tsolekile for taking it on the chin and not blaming race.
Only time will tell, if he remains unsatisfied with the reasons.

Roles reversed I'd also be feeling like I'm being used. He's supposed to be the replacement wicketkeeper for Boucher, but just warms the bench through both tours. Surely a decision should be made on his future, so that he either goes back to the domestic game or he's actually given a chance to play.

They made a mistake by contracting him in the first place, because his age was always going to be an issue. Using him as a replacement for Boucher would only have delayed the introduction of a younger, more long-term replacement, and would have put us in a position of having to rotate wicketkeepers, which in turn would affect the stability of the side. I do feel for the guy, he's been given false hope and has been made to tag along without playing much cricket at all.

This is my view as well. The selectors erred in creating the expectation that he would be Boucher's successor.
