So I got 2 of these TTGO units from Alibaba, (thanks to my kind son and his work colleagues for ordering them).
Basically, a camera, PIR motion detector and a push button. The BME280 was not on the board but not serious.

Flashed EspHome on them, set them up in HA, and they simply worked. My cost worked out to about just over R500.00 for 2 of them.

So it's some sort of doorbell / intrusion detection system?

The motion sensor works separate from the camera and the push button, so it can be used as such. DrZzs, I think used it as a doorbell. I planning to use it as facial recognition, 1 for the front and one for the back. The motion detection will trigger a snapshot or few, for me to do the detection.
Got some experimenting to do.

I’m not quite getting the use case of the push button ?

What does it activate?

I also found it a bit out. I will most probably extend it and turn it into a push button at my front gate instead of directly on this unit, seems to defeat the motion sensor portion.
