Tube going?

I have a LG rear projection TV and recently noticed that after a while the picture distorts (sort of like an hours glass distortion at the top and bottom of the screen). I can also see the red/green/blue projection lights of the TV in an area of the screen.
Is the tube going? WTF is going on

You need to degauss. Get a degausser ( I have no idea where you get them)

Plan B is to unplug TV from the wall plug and leave it for about 24 hours, will be degaussed afterwards too.
