Tuner 2 Gone

So i have a PVR 2. Bolt of lightining earlier when i switched decoder back on...some channels are gone. Checked information central and tuner 2 has gone as in no info and no signal strength or quality. I can still record and play my recordings but not on demand and the movies.

Diagnostics anyone......

Well either it is your lnb or the physical decoder

Pretty sure its cooked. Take it in. If you have the Decoder care they will just swap it.

Where do u stay and how old is the decoder?

im no techie but thinking lnb....its just some of the channels and dstv on demand thats fooked. just watched top gear

Swap the cables around, if tuner 1 suddenly has no signal then its the LNB
It tuner 2 still has no signal then likely the decoder

Its R342 for a replacement if you dont have DCC

yes, just take note of how the other one was angled and remove the small loop bracket, remove old, replace and put bracket back on, easy as pie.

so then i would say it is both the lnb and the pvr.

how old is the pvr and where are you based?

also do you have the extra decoder warranty?

turns out it was lnb - changed ln b and 2 seconds later (literally) it was good to go....
