tunewiki streaming through BIS

Only thing that makes sense to me is by changing the APN to blackberry.net, the application is forced to access the media through the blackberry access point. Anybody willing to test that?

Thats exactly what my APN is set to and I can stream for hours as I did on Sunday @ my buddies party.

So if my apn is set to the blackberry.net apn....I shouldnt get charged for the streaming? It forces all internet apps to go via BIS am i correct?

Its supposed to be like that but I'm sure it doesn't work. My apn is set to blackberry.net and I sill get charged for data when I use Tunewiki or Social feeds. Internet, email, facebook, Twitter, etc I don't get charged for. Must be a BIS problem.

But if the blackberry icon is visible and the letters of the connection are in caps then surely its using BIS

Been using tunewiki for couple weeks now. Havnt used it for prolonged periods of time but so far haven't been charged a cent.I'm on VC prepaid.

I've been using Tunewiki on my Blackberry through BIS for free. I checked my itemised billing and I am definitely not being charged for it. Just be sure to go to "Network settings" in the app, -> "Custom Settings" and select the BIS Proxy otherwise you will be charged for the data.
