anyone know where I can buy a turbo sim in Johannesburg to unlock my 3g iphone ?

Where is your 3G iPhone from? It might be carrier unlocked already..

Try wireless-toys.com - they have a store in Fourways Crossing next o Incredible.

You lie! That's crazy, and to think I bought mine for R50 when it was needed for the 2G iPhone.

You right those people are smoking their socks, they want R15 000 for 16GB iPhone 3G! I laughed in their faces when they told me that...

I promise you - call wireless toys, they want R800 for the card

I saw one for sale on bid or buy for R50

madness ....

There are two types of Turbo SIM. One that supports normal SIM cards and another more expensive one which supports USIM cards for full function 3G.

It's still cheaper to buy your unlock code have a look here to see if your handset is supported: http://www.unlockbycode.net/

If you have a non-Nokia Vodafone (UK) handset look here: http://www.fone-xs.com/shop/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=243 The cost is £12.99

This is far better than cutting your SIM (and hands!) to bits!! :)

Thought this was a new Sims game directed at guys...

At R900 they making a massive profit - The trade is just R80 each!

Yeah I know dude - that place is ridiculously expensive! And when I laughed at him when he told me the 16GB 3GiPhone is R15 000 - he told me that he has sold 3 already...

Just shows you what idiots are out there with money...

Oh really?! I didn't know that.... Could you maybe please help rush with a step-by-step guide on how to unlock his 3G iPhone??

Uhm, if you knew what you were talking about then you would know it unlocks the original and 3G iPhone.
I myself have a 3G iPhone and it unlocks beautifully. Even allows future updates without locking it again.
Do your research!

Defunct, when you say unlock are you talking about unlocking an iPhone that is locked to another carrier (e.g At&t)? Or are you talking about jailbreaking effectively?
I was under the impression there still was no software unlock, but would be very interested in hearing otherwise. :p

On that note I managed to get a TurboSim, but am having some trouble getting it in the sim tray. Even without the modded simcard in tray (with just the turbosim in the tray) the tray will not close past the chip.

Anyone have similar issue?

please take a photo of your iphone 3g that is connected to a vodacom or MTN network that is not using a non standard sim card and is jailbroken ?

Sorry but the ziphone software does not UNLOCK the phone 3g for network use, it jail breaks it.

It does also jailbreak and unlocks 2 g iphones but not 3g

I know this because i have tried everything from pwnage tool to ziphone

risght - I am annoyed now because I cant use my phone

anyone have a a clue as to where I can buy a rebel or turbo sim without going through wireless - toys ?

they are biggest incompetent lying ****s on the face of the planet

Why don't you ask DeFunct, apparently he used 'ZiPhone' to unlock/jailbreak his 3G...

Dude I think your best bet is to purchase one over seas from here and wait for it to arrive...

Hi ricsorceror1

You place the turbo sim behind the tray so it's still in contact with the sim and not in the tray with the sim card. hope that helps
