Turn off MTN call ID

My wife has a Huawei P9 lite (dual sim) and I can't figure out how to turn off the caller ID on her MTN sim (SIM 1). I can change the call ID settings on SIM 2 (FNB) but the option is greyed out on SIM 1. I've tried to switch the SIMs around, but it still gives the same problem on the MTN sim. Any suggestions?

If it's contract then you need to add called id to your package. If Prepaid then go into store and get the Huawei guys to sort it out

I think the OP is talking about turning off OUTGOING caller ID, not incoming.

You must be confusing that with CLIP..easy to make that error

Yes, apologies for being unclear. I want to turn off outgoing caller ID

In the Phone app - menu (3 lines), under sim1 and 2 Additional settings, the top option Caller ID is greyed out?
Mine on MTN prepaid is selectable.

Edit: it's a P8 lite, so possibly different

Actually OP needs to ask network to activate CLIR as CLIP is the default. Then you can turn it off and on as required

I think you cannot turn it off, my MTN contract SIM also didn't allow it
