TV ad?

Hahahah YES I did, just came here to post about it ....hehehe at least it's moving along which is good.

I'm definately seeing a decrease in performance as more users are coming online. I've been on the service since Feb, and in the beginning it was quite a bit quicker. I'm on the 256K package, and it's been a while since I've seen 26-34K downloads. Now that the TV ad is out, it's going to be interesting to see how the contention ratio on shared bandwidth is utilised.

I noticed this weekend international speeds was much slower than before. But everything's back to normal tonight. I'm also on the 256k package.

Maybe there was a problem with IS's intl lines?

They also had a FULL page advert in this months issue of PCFORMAT.

It is good to hear that they atleast have an advertising campain now, it will boost their income, and hopefully speed up their roll-out in the outlaying areas. [:D]

Big billboard on the N1 south (on the right-hand side) a couple of km's after Rivonia off-ramp (I think. Also on page 31 in the latest edition (March) of T3 magazine.

Good news:

The crews rolling out Cape Town may become 'Vaalies and speed up the roll-out in Gauteng.

Een se dood is die ander se brood [:D]

South Africa needs World Class Broadband at World Competitive Prices.

My application is about halfway. Hopefully the sudden influx due to the TV ad wont hamper its progress and chew up the modem stock [:p]

They could have added www.mybroadband.co.za at the bottom for good measure and for the REAL lowdown on the product. So far all the reporting has been good so they will gain by advertising the forum [8D]

Strange how they dont mention anything about "always-on" or any specifics for the uneducated.. Oh well, hopefully they buy more bandwidth as the user count increases as promised. Other than BW, the TV ad is a good thing.
