South African boys who graduate to manhood at circumcision schools during the World Cup will break with tradition and be allowed television sets to watch matches.

"South African children, regardless of age, know something about the World Cup. In fact, this World Cup tournament has caused some communities to break with tradition," Zuma told a child protection launch in Pretoria.

Boys who undergo the ritual at South Africa's rural initiation schools are traditionally kept in isolation from the rest of society.

But Zuma said the nod had been given for initiates in northern Limpopo province, home to a World Cup stadium in Polokwane, to watch Africa's first football showcase from June 11.

"Parents of young boys who will be at initiation schools in Limpopo next month have been allowed to bring them television sets so that they can watch soccer," he said.

"It is reported that the province's house of traditional leaders wants to ensure that being in the bush does not disadvantage the boys."

This week, the Limpopo house of traditional leaders deputy chair Khosi Vho-Vusani Netshimbupfe said generators, solar panels or other energy sources will power the sets as the schools are usually in the bush.

"We don't want the upcoming global event to disturb our traditional practice," he was quoted by government news agency BuaNews as saying.

"Remember this is a once-off lifetime opportunity, therefore, we will allow parents to bring television sets at the initiation schools so that the boys don't miss out.

Since when has singing kill the boer been tradition? It came about when the boer oppressed the blacks? That does not constitute tradition does it?

Killing bulls bare handed as opposed to what putting them in a big truck and letting them smell the death and watching the fear as they are lead to the gallows and slaughtered shaking and scared shyteless? Which is worse i wonder?

The bolded part I agree with, if read as a sentence on it's own. I will fight to the death to ensure the property of traditional leaders.

It's a fine line between taking land for the indigenous population, and stealing it from the rightful owners.

Communism, the anc/sacp/cosatu way, is designed to eventually take all land. Depriving even Africans of the land of their ancestors.

Do not hand over one cent of your billions. Lift the nation. Teach them. Teach them to respect themselves. Wage war on all levels against greedy parasites.

From what I've read, it's the chemicals released, throughout the body of the slaughtered animal, that's not good for humans.

The more relaxed, instant and unsuspecting the death, the less adrenaline and other chemicals in the meat.

The present traditional areas are pretty much the accepted boundaries.

To try and include these into some communist concoction, whereby traditional lands are "incorporated" into a communist state, is where Africans lose everything.
