TV link - Help needed

Hi all
sorry if this is a repeat question, i did search the forums

I have just successfully self installed my HDPVR 2P & SDPVR xtraview enabled - (after 2 trips to multichoice for replacement smart cards )
I have a remote TV +/- 30m from the Decoders, rf line is being amplified via an ALCad108 (booster/splitter)
the TVLink at the remote tv does not light the led, (this does light if plugged in at the decoder)
(i have bought and tried a new TV link from SpaceTV)
picture quality at remote tv is fantastic, currently working via Remote Blaster
what are the possible solutions to get the tvLink to work - is there a distance limitation ?

I think your booster is the problem as the tvlink does not allow most boosters. Try bypassing the booster and see if it lights up the tvlink.

Yeah in my opinion the first device I would check is the booster, If it is only one tv that is connected via RF you shouldnt need the booster try it without the booster it should work perfectly
I run to two TV's via RF with no boosters/amps works perfectly with tvlinks no problems

It's not the booster. The Alcad AI-108 allow DC pass. It's one of the best setback amps available.

dumb question:
if the led light is not comming on the tvlink, did you turn on the tvlink option on the dstv decoder?
