Searched for something similar, but couldn't find anything.

I had a DSTV Explora installed in the kids' house, with the decoder in the open loft, and the TV in the living room.
Because there is no direct line of site, I decided to use a TV link (remote eye) but can't seem to get it to work.

Settings as far as I can tell, are correct.
TV link / Aux is set to on.

Nothing happens.

According to various websites, the Explora is compatible with the DSTV Eye.

Anyone have any suggestions or a solution?

Check that there are no ellies splitter boxes between the decoder and they eye, and if there are any amplifiers, they must be the ellies "red" versions. The if you do have a splitter box, make sure that the cables are plugged in to follow the "power pass" arrows, and if you have any wall mounts, make sure there isn't a diode/resister soldered inside it, if there is try twisting the legs together first, or bypassing it by soldering in a wire
