TV Link without Xtraview

Hi,
can the TV Link be used on a HD PVR2 without Xtraview. I don't want to buy a new remote blaster to change the channel from anotehr room, but it's looking like that since the decoder wont active the link.

Yes it can be used to change channels, you probably need to make some settings changes in the Xtraview menu (like setting TV Link ON).

You enable the TV link in the equipment menu, XV doesn't have anything to do with it
