TV Recommendations?

Could also do the 48H6400 for R2k less and score 2-inches.

The difference in quality of display is a tricky one vs the size gain and the money saved.

Not really concerned about the size, just the quality. Although, I would like to save money ;)
 
It's an excellent TV for two grand less.

Not sure if you'll notice a difference.

Don't save on inputs & media options.

You need quality content to view too...no point in watching sht on your fancy screen... There are many threads here with guidance...and don't tell me DSTV.

Oh and for gaming...you need something that can do PC mode - most Samsungs should be ok there. (read up on overscan)

Saurons option looks good to me. Save the 2k and jam it into inputs/sound.

DSTV...j/k Don't watch broadcast television. Just tv series and movies.

Already know about the concept of overscan, but didn't know it's name! Noticed it some time ago when watching video on my laptop, then on my old tv. OCD ftw.

What I'm not sure about is the difference in refresh rate. Samsung call it "Clear Motion Rate". From the spec sheets it's 480 vs 800. Also, it makes no mention of 24p. That's still a new concept to me. Perhaps you can fill me in on that?
