I have a 4 yr old 32" Samsung LCD TV and the speakers are staring to fail. I don't want to but a new TV and would like recommendations for suitable BASIC inexpensive speakers that are easy to hook up. Any advice will be much appreciated.

What are you looking to spend? What are the audio output options on your TV? I am getting a soundbar from Kalahari.

Hi AshenP, thanks for the reply. I don't need anything fancy with woofers etc just better sound than I'm getting at the moment. something that is easy to install like plugging into the Headphone jack.

Depending on what audio output options are on your TV you could go for the Sinotec sound bar below. Costs R899 but I dont know what the quality is like. It has an aux input.

How much are you willing to spend?

I have a set of Logitech Z323 connected to my TV, and while they aren't surround sound etc etc, they are a damn side better than the TV's sound. I think they cost about R350 from CNA.

Onlyoneken, that's the sort of set up I'm looking for. How do you hook it up? Afraid I'm a bit of a dodo when it comes to this stuff.

Morning onlyoneken, I don't have a USB port for the power. Is it possible to connect via HDMI port?
