TV System Setup Connection to TV

TV: LG49SK7900PVB

SoundBar: JBL Bar 3.1 HDMI ARC (2)

DSTV: Explora 1 HDMI (1)

DSTV: Pace HD PVR (twin record) HDMI (3)

Android Box: H96+ HDMI (2)

• In above setup, no sound comes out of the SoundBar – even with another LG TV and another JBL SoundBar of similar models
• Disconnecting the PACE HD PVR and everything works well – I bought a new HDMI cable and need to see if it solves the problem or it persists.
• Any ideas re the above 2 points?
• Can I connect the Android Box directly to the SoundBar with a Toslink Optical Cable so that I can listen to music whilst the TV is off?
• Won’t the HDMI and Optical cable conflict?

Your advice would be greatly appreciated
