Hey folks!

I just purchased 3x LG 32inch TV's along with a new aerial, booster and splitter. With my old setup consisting of 2 regular tube TV's, I was able to receive all my channels (SABC + Etv) clearly.

Now that I've switched and changed aerials, along with adding the splitter, I seem to get SABC3 only.

I've alternated between the old aerial, new aerial and trying different boosters - but I'm still left with just SABC3.

Does anyone have a solution or know of a good TV/Aerial installer, in Durban, that they could recommend please?

I've spoken to Hirsch, Makro and Early Bird and they all recommend I get DST and a Satelite Dish, which they swear will clear up my problem.

TIA! :D

these new tv's got funny settings, not just vhf or uhf but I saw some P,I,K setting somewhere.
Also, try your old tv, to proof your new tv or antenna.

question if you signal was fine with the old aerial why did you buy a new one?

Just get DStv Easyview. R200 a year for a perfect picture. R499 for the decoder and dish is a bargain.

Get bunny ears aerials for each TV.

Okay, so I've bought two rabbits from the pet store and I'm somewhat confused. How the HELL do you get them to sit friggen still on top of the TV?

At first they seemed to balance fine on top of the TV, then one fell off and I thought it would be better to put them on the shelf next to the TV, thinking that would help. They seemed much happier up there. I think they liked the view from up there. :D

Anyway I left them there over night and would you believe they made me chocolate covered raisins in the morning? Those poor darlings must have spent the entire night making them.

My picture is still pretty snow and I think I may have gotten the wrong breed of bunny rabbit. These ones just seem to sleep all day and I'm pretty sure one of them is trying to sabotage my TV. I think he may secretly work for Etv and is slowly taking out my SABC channels... I also caught him gnawing on the power cord. :wtf:

My signal worked fine with my old aerial and TV setup. However when I tried the old setup with one LED TV, I ended up with snow and no Etv.

I was told by Hirch and Early Bird to try a newer aerial, since mine was discontinued in the 90s and would probably give a technician lock-jaw, since it was so rusty.

Just wanted to thank all that posted.

I've decided to get DsTV and see if that doesn't work.

My plans to wrap the entire TV in tin foil so that it could pick up NASA satellite's was foiled by those pesky rabbits who seem to be pooping cute little silvery balls!
