its works perfectly. also had a small network / firewall issue but all sorted now and streaming well. I use it rather than media player as it can transcode .mkv's etc for playing on a xbox360. Have to give it a bit of time to buffer but works a treat.
I've used Tversity, Nero and WM Player. I used to use TVersity to transcode DiVX and Xvid before the PS3 had native support... but now I find that WM player is good enough as I don't need the transcoding.
While TVersity does the job of streaming media to the Xbox 360 and PS3 just fine, WMP11 does the exact same thing and alleviates the need to have another app running on your PC. I'm not sure whether the Windows Media Sharing Service uses more resources than TVersity's though?
I'm stuck with TVersity now as I'm running Server 2008 and the Media Sharing in WMP11 is disabled
